Cheapest Battlefield: Bad Company 2

BFBC2 is one of the finest war games that's ever been created next to ArmA 2 and BF2 for PC. It is an intense and realistic game. Expect cursing left and right(Don't be a wimp about it, Marines and Soldiers cure alot). The sound and graphics are top notch in 1080P and if you have a good group of friends you play shooters with and you're a team player that likes intense combat with combined arms in mind. This game is for you. If you're a lone wolf sniper that tries to get your Sniper kills go play something else, this isn't your game. Snipers 90% of the time in BFBC2 are a cancer that actually cause more trouble than they're worth.

The single player was good but the music didn't really make it seem as desperate as it was. Multiplayer is why you pay 60 bucks for this game. I got over 200 hours on this game a 2.25 w/l and 2.04 KDR.

DICE did everything right with BFBC2 but they're selling out the BFBC1 and BF2 fans for all the COD players. COD players hate vehicles, large scale maps and like corners cut for them. I worry that the future of BF games will be compromised by DICE trying to cashcow BF fans in favor of casuals. The maps for the most part were small and narrow. Even Arica Harbor and Port Valdez were almost completely bottlenecked.

You can tell they got plans for the BF franchise and if you're a diehard BFBC2 player like me, you won't like it.

Overall though, there isn't much to say, if you like good war games with intense combat, cursing, explosions, destruction and more. Buy this. Destruction does get old though. It got old for me back in BFBC1 but you realize later on how tactical the destruction is. Blow open houses, cut down trees to stop ambushes etc.

There isn't really any debate. Just buy this if you like good war games.

Shop For Saitek Cyborg Command Unit

After many years of using Microsoft SideWinder Strategic Commander, I was no longer able to repair the aging device and surcome to getting a new controller. Shopping throught all the possible controllers and reviewing customers response, If figure the the Cyborg Command Unit was the the best bet, what a HUGE disappointment, like betting the Detroit Lions will win the superbowl.(sorry guys)
I am just going to list the difficulties, because I really can't recall any positive ones. Dealing with controller for five day and deciding to sending it back for a refund, only to purchase another recommmended by individuals who went throught that same hair pulling situation with the Cyborg controller. The installing the software that it comes with, requires an installation time of five minutes, which afterward then needed to by updated for another four to five minutes before you even start to program the controller. Once you have the complete up to date software installed, its keys are already assign action that you'll need to remove to preform that action the you need to have done. Just more time lost trying to remove that information so that you can set the controller up for your own use. Last and worst problem in dealing with this device is getting help from a customer support, I was so greatful that they have a toll free number to talk to individuals having be left on hold for 10, 20, and 30 minutes waiting to talk with someone that had any concern for my problems or an interest in resolving it felt, like was like an Irishman talking to the Pope.Get more detail about Saitek Cyborg Command Unit.

Honestly- this is one of the generations sleepers. Overlooked and very fun- this game oozes good presentation and straight fun. The graphics are still very good for what the game needs. The control scheme is how Resident Evil 5 *should* have handled (more or less). I did not like some of the rigid memorization needed (skill shots, skull shots- I'm looking at you guys) but the core game is alot of fun. Discount Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Rainbow Six Vegas was, in my opinion, a fantastic game. It combined very slick gameplay with stunning graphics and an immersive story, and threw in nice touches like an epic soundtrack and a fun "terrorist hunt" mode.

With this as a basis, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 should have been even better, but unfortunately it falls short of the mark. On the one hand, Ubisoft improved nearly every aspect of gameplay (I'll get to that), but on the other, the game is just MISSING something.

On the positive side, there are plenty of new touches that fix most of my gripes about the previous game. Melee is still missing, much to my annoyance (there are plenty of opportunities when it would be preferable), but you can now sprint in short bursts (handled in the standard CoD manner, but with the left bumper). I couldn't honestly tell if pistol firing was as fast as your finger could pull (the old game had a fixed minimum time between shots which was very irritating), but it seemed faster anyway. The graphics are impressively better; original Vegas had some great visuals, so seeing even more detail and lighting effects is a nice touch. There is an improved assortment of weapons, including the SR-25 sniper rifle, a favorite of mine ever since SOCOM: US Navy SEALs. Unfortunately, as before, you can only put one attachment on each weapon, so you'll have to choose between things like "recoil stock to prevent ridiculous muzzle climb" and "sight/scope to get any remotely useful benefit from LMG at ranges greater than point blank." I suppose that too much weight would slow down an operative, and this is the reasoning, but it's kind of annoying at times. You can now see how many breaching charges and grenades your team is carrying. Checkpoints seem to be more frequent, which is a plus considering that the enemy AI is also noticeably tougher. In fact, this game proved to be very challenging even on "Normal" difficulty; enemies have razor-sharp senses and very good aim.

A new and considerably extensive feature is character customization. Instead of playing as a standard-issue "Logan Keller," (you'll be playing as "Bishop" anyway), you can alter your appearance including facial features/race, facial hair (not really visible in-game), and clothing. The latter is the most notable, because your clothing is also topped with body armor, and there are about a dozen different types, with varying levels of protection and encumbrance. You can put on the heaviest armor possible and take a few more bullets, but you'll move slower and respond more sluggishly. You can also change your helmet and choose to wear sunglasses or goggles, which I personally think is cool. A silly detail of this, however, is that even if you opt to go with no helmet at all, you'll still have access to thermal and night vision, as if by magic (even looking at yourself in third person with NVG on reveals nothing over your eyes, although the goggles do flip down if you are wearing the standard issue helmet). The "equipment" lockers placed throughout each level now include clothing and armor, as well, so you can change your setup mid-mission. This is actually very handy as you may encounter a very heavy firefight after a segment where stealth and speed are critical, and wish to bulk up your armor.

Another new feature is a level-up system that takes effect during all modes of gameplay, including the campaign. Each kill that you get adds to your XP, with various types of kills and actions counting higher than others. As you level up, you'll advance in rank and unlock new weapons and armor. This adds to the replay value, because modes like terrorist hunt continue to advance your level.

The co-op modes are a nice feature, with the challenging (VERY challenging) terrorist hunt mode being a fun split-screen pastime. I haven't played online, due to my lack of a connection, but it's an option as well.

Despite all these good things and improvements over the original, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 just doesn't quite hit the mark. The reason isn't quite apparent, but I have a few theories. First, the original game ended in a cliff-hanger that definitely warranted a sequel. After setting themselves up nicely for future sales, however, it seems that Ubisoft got tired of working on it and rushed it to completion. Despite being much more difficult than the original, I was stunned by how quickly the game was over. I expected to unlock most of the weapons by the end of the campaign as I advanced in rank (although it was probably designed more for multiplayer), but I was still a lowly Staff Sergeant when I finished, and I was left with a hollow feeling, kind of like when you prepare to eat a meal and then have it taken away halfway through eating.

What's more, while the first game had an introduction in Mexico and then spent the rest of its time in the glitzy, slot machine and neon laden Las Vegas for which the game was titled until the grand finale, "Vegas 2" starts in Europe, briefly visits Vegas, hitting a few casinos, then heads out to the Nevada desert and finally to Central America. Since I really enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance of the Vegas setting, this disappointed me too. The new locations fit the storyline, but Vegas still should have been the focus.

Comparing the concurrent storylines of Vegas 1 and 2 justfies my complaint about game length and locale. In Vegas 1, after the introduction in Mexico, Logan Keller joins Michael and Jung for the entire rest of the game (90% or more). In Vegas 2, Bishop works with Michael and Jung until they leave to join Logan, then performs a solo mission in an oil refinery. Right after that, he's back with Mike and Jung to find Gabriel (after the events of Vegas 1). This oil refinery mission does not constitute 90% of the game, hence the overwhelming feeling of a large chunk being left out. In general, the story was weak and the game felt like an expansion pack rather than a sequel. The finale was challenging and meant to be emotional, but came off as fairly cheesy. While Logan, Michael, and Jung played an epic role as the first line of defense in Vegas, kicking the terrorists in the teeth and foiling their plans to micropulse everything (and consequently making you, the player, feel like a hardcore hero), Bishop and his various companions in Vegas 2 seemed like a second-rate backup force, wandering around and failing to accomplish anything noteworthy (and failing, per script, to accomplish many of their initial goals). Of course this makes you, the player, feel lame as well.

My last broad complaint is about the graphics. Earlier I said that they were better and more detailed, which is true. However, for whatever reason, everything seemed too clean and perfect, even when it was destroyed. Shapes are simple and the whole game resembled a very obvious Adobe Illustrator graphic. Replete with detail, but lacking some aspect of realism that made everything toy-like. I played Vegas 1 and 2 back-to-back (my second time going through the original), so the fact that I noticed this in Vegas 2 indicates that it's a new and different thing, likely a result of the new graphical touches.

Other complaints are minor, like a soundtrack that lacks the power of the original, heavily recycled enemy dialogue from the original (although the comically repeated "Chris ain't here" line is absent), and a few gameplay details I already addressed.

In conclusion, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is a very slick game that provides good entertainment and replay value via modes like terrorist hunt, but lacks the clout of its predecessor, due to a weak plot, unimportant player role, short duration, oddly toyish graphics, and lack of Las Vegas content. You may want to rent this one, or buy it used.

Cheapest Ninja Gaiden Sigma

What a great game. I have been an NG fan since the beginning. I couldn't wait for Sigma to come out. To my disappointment, Tecmo created a great game but ruined it with the worst camera view I have ever experienced. I am getting ambushed by three dragons coming at me from the front and the camera "intelligently" decides the object I need to focus on is the wall behind me. Nothing will tick you off more than dying because you couldn't see what was right in front of you. Maybe for the next NG game, Tecmo could make it more challenging by blacking the screen totally out every time you encounter bad guys.Get more detail about Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Cheap Unreal Tournament III

I didn't play any video games other than Madden football since apx. 2003. I played some UT on the PC in 1999/2000 and loved it. I got a PS3 for Christmas 2009 and a new HDTV in Jan. of 2010. I played Madden football on that and loved it. I wanted a game to play to unleash some tension and blow a bunch of people up. After I got used to the controller, this game 100% satisfied my wishes. Vehicle CTH/Warfare and just flat out exciting to play. The graphics are just 1000000% amazing on my HDTV. The weapons are old and the same from the PC version. But, I loved the familiarity of them and loved jumping into a tank and blowing a bunch of people up over and over again. I play single player all the time and the bots are as genuine as a real player. Perfect game. Purchase Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazzard

Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard is a parody of the video game industry. Anyone having grown up with video games in the past 20 years will probably find something humorous in Eat Lead. Though developer `Vicious Cycle' is quite possibly making fun of its own heavily clichéd and flawed game.

The setting for Eat Lead is simple: Washed out video game actor, Matt Hazard is recruited by his employer for a comeback to recapture his former glory (and profits). Though once his adventure begins a series of events and a mysterious helper indicate that not all is at it seems. I'll leave out any major plot twists and spoilers. But suffice to say that anyone who has a shred of common sense will see the plot twist coming well in advance.

Graphically, Eat Lead is competent. The game won't win awards or wow anyone with its graphical prowess, however, that's not really the focus of the title.

Gameplay is accomplished via a 3rd person camera similar to Gears of War. Eat Lead even attempts to implement the same cover system featured in Gears though with mixed results. The cover and control system is really where Eat Lead shows its lack of refinement. Mainly the biggest problem lies in the cover system itself. Unlike in Gears, the cover system in Eat Lead is clunky. I found myself frequently fighting with the controls as much as with the enemy. Frequent and frustrating deaths abound because of the flawed cover system. Moving from cover to cover should be a refined experience - in Eat Lead it is not. Matt Hazard frequently gets hung up on the environment or simply doesn't perform the action you're attempting to do.

There are other curious development choices too. For example enemies can use grenades - though Matt Hazard cannot. Your only recourse to enemy grenades is to scramble to a different position. The game makes fun of itself for the lack of the feature... but frustratingly it's still not there, jokes or not. I get the humor aspect of it but ultimately the game suffers for it.

Another issue is the completely unbalanced difficulty. There are three selectable difficulties ranging from the Matt Hazard equivalent of Easy, Medium & Hard. I played through on the medium and pretty much flew through the game until certain choke points where the difficulty spikes. Boss battles are particularly difficult and cheaply frustrating.

Again, though the game is a parody it is squarely making fun of many of the mechanics it uses. At an early point in the game I realized that the basic premise of Eat Lead is to move from room to room, wiping out all the enemies along the way. That's basically all you get for the entire game. In that regard it differs very little from games like `Doom' where you're simply killing enemies, finding keys and moving on to the next level. Again, the game is making fun of a mechanic it employs and actually overuses.

The in game music is mainly comprised of heavy-metal tracks that serve the game well. A lot of the music is completely over the top - and it's meant to be. It has a humorous effect on the game that fits well. The voiceovers are similarly cheesy, over the top voice actors. One particularly memorable wizard you must rescue in the game is the Dungeons & Dragons equivalent of William Shattner. It's hilarious.

I think that the people who will enjoy Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard are those that accept that the game is highly flawed and are playing more for the comedic value than those looking for a good game. I did laugh out loud at various points throughout the game and that is saying something. If only the developer had been able to iron out some of the control and balance issues this game could've really been something.Get more detail about Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazzard.

Order NBA 08

I bought this game used for under ten dollars so I wasn't expecting a great game but geez, no franchise mode, only one camera angle, and you can only create one player. I played it for a little while mainly because I could trade anybody from one team to another so I could have my own personal team (steve nash pg, ray allen sg, rashand lewis sf, kevin garnett pf, and marcus camby c) and I played the 3 point shootout (which was frustrating, here and there). But that wasn't enough to make me want to play this game on the regular. I haven't played it in months and I don't plan on playing it again. But, as always, you're your own person so just because I don't like it doesn't mean you won't like it either. Care Bears Care Quest Decide Now

I havn't actually played this game, I bought it for my daughter. She loves it, great little adventures with important messages along the way about how to be a good caring person. I would recommend this for anyone who has a little girl at home, builds self esteem and creates a generally happy experience :)))Get more detail about Care Bears Care Quest.

Lilo and Stitch Classic Right now

This game is one of the best games I have. The plot is easy to follow, and the levels are very fun to explore. The bosses can be a little tricky but when you finally beat them it's like "yah, I'm awesome". I must say this is a very recommended game, and it is definitely worth the money.Get more detail about Lilo and Stitch Classic.

Save Triple Play 2002

i got Triple Play 2002, cause it looked awsome.

bought it at Best Buy on a gift card, and i love it.

the game is awsome, the music is good, and best of all, it's a very EASY and SIMPLE baseball game.

nothing really special about it. the players faces are AWSOME, and are actually more realistic than the faces of ESPN baseball 2k4 and 2k5. yep, Triple Play 2002 had better more life like face resemblences than the newest baseball games on the market.

the stadiums are all awsome and very accurate, including real up to date stats at Yankee stadium. there are moments that capture a big game moment. home runs and celebrations are awsome.

what i love so much about this game, is that it reminds me of Ken Griffey Jr. baseball, it's so simple and easy to play, not like today's games which are sometimes complicated.

Costas and Harold Reynolds do commentary, and it's awsome, especially when Reynolds sings Take me out to the ball game.

only problems i have, is that it does slow down sometimes. real small glitches where it seems like the game is trying to load between innings. but other than that, good game.

game also includes Barry Bonds and Jose Canseco....;)

overall, good game.

Cheap Madden NFL 2003

I'm writing this review on behalf of my 11 year old son. He and his brother bought a GameCube several months ago as a very affordable way to get a gaming console and inexpensive used games. They've been very happy with this game. They say the graphics and sound are both very good and have a lot of fun playing it. The game allows for up to four players and allows instant replays. They weren't huge football fans before getting this game, but have become more interested in watching professional football game now that they understand football a bit better from playing this game.Get more detail about Madden NFL 2003.

Buying George of The Jungle: Search for the Secret

A diego style side scroller with attacks, this game is completely unplayable. No continues, and a high death rate (constantly starting over) make this game a complete waste of time.Get more detail about George of The Jungle: Search for the Secret.

Buy Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter

I work in software and understand the need to improve and add enhancements. However, morphing a winning formula into something else just because the competition is doing it isn't the way to keep loyal customers who like the product because of the way it was.

The bells and whistles added to this version of the game don't enhance it much. It seems more like an arcade game now, or the old Doom or Wolfenstein shooters than the old GR we came to know and love. I guess they are following the trend to first person shooters and away from the game concepts that made the game so great in the early versions. What happened to unlocking new weapons for friend and foe alike? What happened to assigning attributes to characters? The best way to retain interest in a game is not by making it difficult.

I would not purchase this game again.Get more detail about Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

Purchase Guitar Rock Tour

Not as fun as the other guitar hero games because u can not buy things , earn money or do challenges but still fun if the other games are too hard for you. It gets boring after awhile because the amount of diversity that you have compared to the other games are ALOT less. I would recommend this ONLY if you're not good at coordination video games and want something easy and simple for your kids.Get more detail about Guitar Rock Tour.

Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard (Black)

They say that this is a gaming keyboard. I'm not too sure I can agree that much.

The true "gaming" nature of the keyboard is the available 6 "G-keys", as well as on the fly macro recording.
The g-keys themselves are as advertised. You can program them to do whatever macros you want them to. By far, I've found the G-keys more useful OUT of gaming sessions than inside.
I personally find launching programs and folders with one simple key really useful. In fact, I've already mapped out all my G-keys to a function, whether its opening My Documents, hdd partitions, Word, MPC, Chrome, Utorrent whatever. So even if you're not a gamer, these keys really do come to good use! less clicks=better productivity. Then again, there are other keyboards out there with G-keys.

I do want to say the LCD is quite a gimmick. The only two default "apps" that I've found useful thus far is the LCD clock and the profile selector.
Since then, I've experimented with numerous apps, and only found 2-3 at most to be useful for my gaming/music needs.
Check out "WVS - A media player visualization plugin," by far the best app that I've found for the LCD. Who doesn't like blinking lights matching your tunes, yeah!

A word about the led-backlighting. Yes, its nice, and the orangish color is very pleasing. Looking from top down, the lighting is very clear and bright. But from a typist's angle, the lighting is washed out and dim, especially those that are right in front of you. I've heard that newer Logitech keyboards use laser-etched backlighting that is better than the one used in the G15.
And its not the quietest keyboard either. Also don't forget that the included 2 USB ports on the back of the keyboard is USB 1.1 rates only, so don't even think about plugging in a flashdrive/hdd or usb gaming mouse!

But I still recommend this keyboard, if only for the G-keys and the LED blacklighting. The LCD is overall meh.Get more detail about Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard (Black).

Dreamer Series: Babysitter Review

The review from Rachel Reese is excellent and a perfect summation of a key problem with this game. Besides the brevity of it, it really is just mini-games... and lame ones at that. Stay away!Get more detail about Dreamer Series: Babysitter.

American Chopper 2 Full Throttle This instant

As a big fan of American Chopper, I was really looking forward to this game.
Designing and fabricating bikes. Then racing them. All as a part of a video game.
Very, very disappointed.
The graphics, action and game play are WAY beneath the standards of both Nintendo and Orange County Choppers.

I thought I was playing a Super Nintendo game from over a decade ago.
